There’s plenty of time for work. Too much time in fact. Last year I decided to do something about my life, which had become a daily grind of work, work and more work. So, my wife and I decided to do a bit of travelling. We spent a glorious six weeks island hopping in the Aegean. Then, a few weeks later we visited Australia, and then rounded the year off with a life-changing trip to Sri Lanka. The photograph below was taken in the wonderful botanical Gardens in Kandy. The tree is a giant 150 year-old Australian Kauri Pine. My two and a half year-old grandson wanted me to climb up it!
So, what did I learn from my SABBATICAL year?
Too much work makes you go stale. Without realising it you become jaded and unproductive.
